Pyka’s Extremely Autonomous Crop and Cargo Electrical Plane – RotorDrone – Uplaza








Pyka, a producer of large-scale highly-automated electrical plane for crop safety and cargo transport in Oakland, California, introduced that it has acquired approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to function its zero-emission highly-automated Pelican Spray plane for crop safety commercially nationwide. With a gross weight of 1,125 lbs., Pyka says its uncrewed aerial system (UAS) is the most important ever to obtain FAA authorization for business operation. Pyka’s Pelican Spray can carry as much as 540 lbs. (70 gallons) of liquid and spray as much as 240 acres per hour. In 2020 alone, the Nationwide Transportation Security Board (NTSB) reported 54 plane accidents involving agricultural operations, together with 12 deadly accidents leading to 13 deaths.
