The primary Sonic the Hedgehog film was surprisingly nice (definitely extra so than the outright horrible Borderlands or the all too secure Tremendous Mario Bros.), due to a genuinely humorous script and Jim Carrey going wild as Dr. Robotnik. Voiced by Keanu Reeves, who feels like an angstier John Wick within the trailer, Shadow is launched as an alien who has lived by means of tragedy and is out for some unspecified revenge.
